Center mass torso IF they are at least 15 ft away or armed with a firearm. Center mass PELVIS if they are closer than 15 ft. Even if your shots are a little high (people tend to shoot high when excited) you still cause significant damage. Hitting the Pelvis slows down a knife or club wielding attacker FASTER than a chest shot because it will take out at least one leg. It can still be lethal, but much easier to defend in court AND more effective in the short term as well. Headshots are best but harder to defend in court.
