See, that's where the idiocy of that entire notion reveals itself. "It takes a village,..." and "You didn't build that" both ignore the reality that there had to be INDIVIDUALS before the village or the infrastructure was established, without whom there could be no COLLECTIVE actions. A collective is nothing more than like-minded individuals who predict a potential profit from collective action. Even communists join together because of a predicted profit (how unseemly, you communists....dirty, dirty profit!).
