In his only debate with Lloyd Bentsen, who went on to become Bill Clinton's first Treasury Secretary, Dan Quayle made the following remark: "I am the same age John Kennedy was he ran for President." What did Lloyd Bentsen, then Texas' senior Senator, say? "Senator, I knew Jack Kennedy, Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine, and Senator, you're no Jack Kennedy!" The audience, and the LDM, (Lapdog Media), lapped it up. What did Dan Quayle say that was so wrong? He dared to compare himself to President Kennedy, who like Dan Quayle, Teddy Roosevelt, and now Paul Ryan, was a young man he ran for President. In fact, Paul Ryan and Teddy Roosevelt, are the same age. Dan Quayle was 41 when he was elected Vice President. Paul Ryan's a year older.
