Todd Akin clarified what he was trying to say, which does have some medical backing although not properly explored, and he apologized for it. Akin is clearly pro-life and has voted that way 100% of the time. This piling on is more about stupidity of those rushing to judgment than about pro-life. The larger issue of pro-life needs Akin's already known dedicated support. The question now becomes do we want a pro-life voter in the Senate? Guess not! I can't vote for Akin, but I would if I were in that state.
