You all miss the point. The danger of the national standard curriculum lies not in the way things are taught , but in what is taught. Florida, NewYork, Texas and California have always driven the content of textbook curriculum because of their population size. With the exception of Texas, do you really want the cultural ideals of these states to dictate what your child will learn in school via the U S Departmrnt o'd Education?
