Indiana, enacted a voter ID law which was declared Constitutional by the US Supreme Court. In the 2010 Election 8% of the votes cast were determined to have been cast by convicted felons still on parole which violates state law. In addition they were found to have registered to vote prior to the 2008 Supreme Court Decision. However upon doing a cross check of the Voter Registration Lists with the Indiana Department of Pardons and Parole, the fraud was detected and their votes were thrown out, in that it was still a violation for felons to vote. In the runup to the 2010 election the various county boards of elections were given access to those self same felon records and were able to block over 2500 fraudulent registrations.
