I'm a railroader, one of the few groups in America that doesn't pay Social Security. SS takes about 7% of the average person's pay, whereas the US Railroad Retirement Board takes over 14% of mine. Anyway, railroads, like auto manufacturers, are union hotbeds, and I have been thoroughly disgusted by the damage my union dues have done to this country. In '08, I witnessed the foreign usurper declare war on my job with his hate for coal--TRAINS move that coal to the power plants. Union mine workers dig up that coal, and here was our union INSISTING we support the guy, despite this fact. Unions are NOTHING about protecting the jobs of its members...and EVERYTHING about political power. They have FAR outlived their usefulness to society.
