John, you can always spot a city boy trying to write an article about guns. So let a redneck make some corrections: First of all the only dangerous gun is one which does not function correctly. It can jam, misfire, or go off when safety is one, etc. Beyond that, guns are not dangerous, people are dangerous. Shotguns do have multiple pellets, from B-B size to full slug size. Except for the slug and Double Ought, it is not the pellet that kills. It is the blast. The pattern is generally less than the size of a basketball, and will not kill many people, maybe two.
