There are only 2 ways to stop mass shooting events like Aurora: 1) ban and confiscate ALL guns in the country and seal the borders so no more get in, or 2) Make sure there is nowhere in the country where a gunman would not have to encounter armed opposition. Both are impossible. Therefore, we will have to tolerate SOME risk of such an event. The 1st method cannot be even partially used without violating everyone's right to self-defense - BIG down side. The 2nd can easiy be used simply by making concealed carry easier and more widely acceptable - no down side. Sooo...is there a logical thinker in the house?
