Which is why many Americans, like myself, find teachers unions to be an impediment if not an obstruction to education reform. The students are not considered even remotely if at all. Part of the educational morass experienced in this country is a direct result of unionized impediment to overhauling the educational structure of public education. Every teacher worth their weight in gold should be outraged by all of this. Why? Because the integrity of the profession is being whittled away not slow and steady, but quick and decisive by teachers in teachers union not reining in their unions.
