Proportional pay raise??? The 4% inflation raise that was in the contract was taken away because there was no money, now they have it to give them a 2% raise for working 20% more. Yes, all very proportional and logically. Why are all the teachers who actually do something and are useful supposed to take pay cuts when administration is not. Starting salary of an assistant principal in 104,000 and principal is roughly 140,000. Some schools have 3+ asst principals. Then those useless coaches that come in and do nothing for the teachers are making 80k for uploading stuff to the net and observing teachers for 45 minutes. I am not even going to talk about the amount of money the superintendent and CEO and all the other useless people make.
