The last of the Civil War veterans died when I was a child. Now that was well over half a century ago. However, it seems like yesterday to me. That said, I would like to remind everyone that the war was fought over liberty. True, it was about a small segment of our society that had no political representation at all. However, I can't help noticing the parallels, albeit on a greater scale, to what is happening in today's society. We have government that for all practical purposes is in the business of enslaving as many individuals in this country as possible.
