Actually, you are completely wrong. We don't have the largest military in the world at all. Not even close. We spend more than the next 27 countries combined, 26 of which are our allies. What's not being taken into account in that figure is the difference in cost for a chinese soldier and an American. The Chinese have roughly 2,285,000 active duty, while the US has 1,458,219 active duty. We just happen to be at war, so our spending is higher. That's just common sense. The only way we can cut the spending is to bring out people home. Then we could cut spending in half, until the next time our military is sent out. Then spending will go right back up. Common sense, use some.
