As a mixed race (black father/white mother) American, who was raised in a black foster home in the 60's in the Watts/Compton area, and being bullied as too light skinned or white, and then reunited with my mother, and rejected by her then husband as "too black", and graduated high school in the 70's in Inglewood Ca during the "white flight" years, I don't need any person black or white to explain the issue of rascism to me, having experienced it on both sides...I was a DNA Democrat until I was 25, and have since been a Republican (conservative), not because of race, but because of love of my country and what it used to stand for...freedom and opportunity!
