Absolutely amazing! The BLS has a handy servlet to see the data for all states.
First - every state except 1 has reduced unemployment between January 2011 and May 2012 (the latest month with data).
Second, the average for all 50 states plus DC is -1.11%. The average for the 11 states touted here is -1.23%. But the 11 states include Michigan. What is built in Michigan? Automobiles. Michigan had a -2.4% change in unemployment thanks to Obama's auto bailout. Remove Michigan and the remaining 10 state average is? -1.11%. That's right - it's EXACTLY the same as the national average of all 50 states plus DC.
Nice try on the right-wing spin there, Kate.
What a hack!
