A quick question for Ms Parker, using the same logic she applied in the article: When Boehner and others walked out on a contempt vote in 2008, the object persons of the vote were white. So,......was Boehner along with the other white Republicans making it a racial issue? I ask because NOWHERE in the article is Cleaver or ANY member of the Black Caucus quoted mentioning race!!! Cleaver is quoted as being critical of "partisanship." So, it seems that Ms. Parker concludes WITH NO EVIDENCE that the Black Caucus is racializing an issue SIMPLY because they are Black and walked out. Well, Boehner is white and he walked out. Was he racializing the issue?
