Scientific inquiry belongs to anyone willing to inquire, wether they are religious or not. And yes often times our presuppositions do influence our conclusions. Due to the very nature of natural inquiry, 'spiritual' things can neither be proven nor disproven. we all assume the universe started at some time, Christianity also gives existence a 'purpose'. why does it seem that humans have a need for purpose?
