Voter ID is not discriminatory as proved by several academic studies but fraud due to lack of ID is virtually non-existent. We should not have voter ID because this is the start of a national ID and tracking system that undermines our right to privacy and liberty.
By all means, we should crack-down on real fraud that is usually perpetrated by election officials or through absentee voting schemes. Tighten up polls and have non-partisan observers at all counts. But we should drop this foolish demand for IDs lest we get what we wish for.
