Here is where we are. Congress can pass a law, with no public hearing, which is 2500 pages long and no Congressman reads before voting for it. The 2500 page unread law, includes thousand of authorizations for the Cabinet member to act in completely undefined ways, so the actual bill, with the regulatory language required to enact it, is more like 10,000 pages, or more. Some citizens challenge the Consitutionality of the bill. It goes to the Supreme Court, where the govt argues the funding 1) is a tax, and, 2) is not a tax. No Supreme Court justice reads the entire bill. The bill is found Constitutional. A major conservative publication founder finds this to be good news, despite the fact NOBODY has read the bill to this day.
