During the Cold War, when the United States was in conflict with countries such as USSR and Red China, the armies of these Communist nations did not invade America because their leaders feared the fact that tens of millions of American citizens where gun owners with large number of guns and large supplies of ammunition. Therefore, our Second Amendment rights were a major factor in our national defense. Our enemies at the U.N. understand this fact and this is why the want Americans disarmed. Remember my fellow citizens, AN ARMED PEOPLE ARE A FREE PEOPLE.
