while highly skilled in medicine, not generally well suited to a competitive business environment. From my observations, hospitals do little to control expenses, minding the pennies while wasting the dollars. Frankly consumers in the midst of a health crisis are not interested in shopping for cardiac care while suffering a heart attack, so shopping for health care is not like shopping for a car. What is needed in the healthcare industry is more competition. Building hospitals and training doctors has been controlled by the states at some level, so government involvement has restricted the competitive nature of the healthcare industry. I do believe there should be oversight, but the industry itself would be best suited to the task wit
