What the Boy Scouts of America's national board needs to do immediately is to fire board
member "James Turley," by citing to him the facts of the prior Supreme Court case called
"Boy Scouts of America v. Dale," under citation 530 U.S. 640. This case that was decided on
June 28th, 2000 states that the Boy Scouts as a private organization has the 1st Amendment
right of Freedom of Association. This means the Boy Scouts can set rules of who can and who
cannot be a member and what rules influence their social, economic, educational, religious,
political and cultural ideals. Hence the Boy Scouts of America are not bound by state and federal
laws of antidiscrimination. The BSA have cited that homosexuality is against their rules and values.
