I'm a gigantic fan of Paul Ryan. He's brilliant, saavy, and clear-headed about the direction this country needs to go . . . which is exactly why this is a bad idea. Taking a man so talented with fiscal and budgetary policy out of his influential position in the House and putting him in a place where he'll have to reallocate his attention to foreign policy, social issues, and tour the country making PR speeches for the administration is a waste of his gifts. A Romney presidency with a Paul Congress backing him up would be a powerful combination for getting the economy back on track.
Hopefully Romney sees this and agrees. . . .
