Longest running universal health care has been the UK, started around 1948, and it is now showing signs of complete collapse. Canada, our Northern neighbor has begun to allow private practice and hospitals due to lack a services. As stated in the article Mass. is having problems after a short time embracing universal care. We have had other states that tried and failed, Tenn for instance. Most Dr. will admit that over half of their staff are required to handle the paperwork involved with required government and insurance forms. Amish people pay a highly discounted fee, why? It's cash in hand, no paperwork and certainty of payment. There are solutions, and the simple ones seem to be the best and most successful.
