GW Bush has acted with a lot of class since he left office and it's something to be respected not demeaned. Even some of my liberal/libertarian associates – who are/were no fans of Bush – say so. W and dad don't need defending. Their record is what it is, and for those demanding some sort of defense, none will ever be sufficient to overcome their deeply-entrenched bias. I believe it's true that no one knows what it's like to sit in the big chair – except, of course, the ones who have been there. It's not cowardice it's class – something I'd like to see more of from the other side of the political aisle, but I'm not holding my breath.
