I had a friend, a great pianist, Naum Shtarkman, whom we worked and played together before his arrest in 1958 (for homosexuality) and thereafter, after 1967. You may want to listen to his performance at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TG-Tcg06Qk . Before his arrest, he was married and had kids, which proves that his further homosexuality was not genetically inherited, but rather a means to "decorate" his normal sexual activity with some additional fantasies. It didn't hurt me in any way, because he didn't exhibit his sexual life on a public stage, as our rabid homosexuals are doing. That's why we kept being friends when he was released.
