Why should the amount a person earns matter? I couldn't continue reading after the tax credit nonsense. The main problem: group medical plans provided by employers. Employers should not be required to provide such plans - but, as it had been before attempted mandates, employers can still provide an insurance benefit, but medical coverage must be bought by the individual. Any such benefit money (plus any additional) should be fully non-taxable. Then EVERYONE who buys insurance, regardless of employment status, should also have that non-taxable expense. This will create maximum competition, flexibility and mobility. Forget "credits" - those are always unfair.
