My mother and I visited a cousin of hers in Canada, and the woman was almost legally blind from cataracts. She said that she was on a list to have them removed, but had to wait about 8 months before the surgery. She was at that time 83 yrs old!!! What are the odds that she will ever benefit from this? Cataract surgery can be preformed in less than 30 minutes. My niece works with an eye surgeon and they have done as high as 25 cataract operations in a day.
