Any Republican who is not A RINO, according to fervent conservatives, would lose a general election. Santorum dragged the party into low poll numbers everytime he opened his mouth. The other candidates were gaffe-prone and/or unlikeable. I don't know why Republicans can't understand that they comprise only 25% of the electorate, and conservative Republicans less than that. A slightly right -of- center candidate who is focused on the economy, wholesome, Presidential in stature, and in possession of great intellect is a fine choice, and moderates will pull the lever for him. We must have moderates.
