It's amazing to me how Armendariz lauds the deterrent value of punishment when it's applied in support of the Administration's radical environmental agenda -- but, "everyone" agrees that there's no deterrent value to the death penalty . . . another example of how punishment is of value to deter the law-abiding -- but, absolutely cannot be applied against convicted law-breakers.
