Oh! So many points to dispute!
1.)...would have to agree to serve in the military or attend at least two years of college".
The military service provision is pure misdirection. A path to citizenship already exists for immigrants who serve in the military. Inserting this into various "Dream Acts" is intended to dilute antipathy to the idea of giving illegal immigrants a "free" college education, and then rewarding them with citizenship, besides.
2.) "... is simply not a core voting issue". Perhaps you have forgotten what led John McCain to change his position on this issue?
3.) "...the extremist population-control advocates that founded and still dominate the anti-immigration movement." Guilt by association, and misdirected, at that. Cesar
