Daniel Okrent, the New York Times's first and probably last real Public Editor, wrote the following last column;
"13 Things I Meant to Write About but Never Did"
http://www.nytimes.com/2005/05/22/weekinreview/22okrent.html?pagewanted=all
It provides examples of the liberal, actually:"urban" leaning according to "Pinch", of every aspect of the paper. He had this to say bout Paul Krigman
"2. Op-Ed columnist Paul Krugman has the disturbing habit of shaping, slicing and selectively citing numbers in a fashion that pleases his acolytes but leaves him open to substantive assaults."
The column is worth reading or rereading.
