Although the writer has pointed out the many false statements and irresponsible spending, he, like everyone else, cannot seem to tell the truth about unemployment in the country. We all know that it is much higher than 8%, and resent being lied to. Take for example, reported job creation and initial job claims for February of this year. A total of 277,000 new jobs were reported as being "created", lowering the unemployment rate to 8.3%. However; during that same period, a total of one million, one hundred twenty nine thousand, l,129,000 initial unemployment benefit claims were filed. The unemployment rate should have gone up, not down. Along with the false reporting, the government does not consider those whose benefits are used up.
