Obama's pedigree is ultra liberal and he consistently voted ultra liberal, and guess what in spite of his running as a moderate blank slate, he has governed as an ultra liberal. Romney's pedigree is a moderate, and he consistently governed as a moderate. I wonder how he would govern as the president? I frankly don't remember ever thinking that Romney was some great conservative hope. In response to McCain conservatives may seen him as slightly less moderate, but never as one of us.
