No we don't wish to "let religions trump public policy choices". We with to let our religious convictions inform and influence our public policy choices. And that may absolutely steam you, but perhaps you are simply a religious bigot. Regardless, if you think that unlimited access to government funded abortion of innocent, nascent human life is a good public policy choice, perhaps you think a human being is no more valuable than a decayed tooth.
