Big oil is an easy target because they produce something that most people use everyday, the price of which continues to go up and everyone hears about high profits, corp jets, etc. The truth is that 40% of the oil companies profits go to the feds in taxes. THEN, before a gallon of gas reaches the consumer, the Feds, the states, the counties and some cities add on their tax. I find it strange that no one is talking about the greedy governments who take all of this money without putting a dime at risk, don't produce anything but make billions from the efforts of the oil companies. Why don't you do an article on how much a gallon of gas would cost if all of the taxes, including the income tax paid by oil companies were taken out Charles?
