“Windmills consume thousands of acres of quality farmland, blighting the horizons worse than billboards." This statement is partially incorrect. First, they aren't windmills. They are wind turbines. One is for grinding grain, and one is for generating electricity. In Texas, the farmers out in west Texas love the wind turbines. The companies that manage the turbines rent space from the farmers to provide space for the wind turbines, and the farmers grow their crops around them. It provides the farmers with added income to the income generated by crop production.
