Form is different than content. As a Southern Man, I'll put up for comparison my education, life experience, including executive responsibility. Add world wide travel. Have you ever listened to high ranking military men from the South? They don't need pretentious syntax or semantic constructions. When an expert talks, you had better listen. After all, who was Will Rodgers?

Prof. Dr. Sowell is the wisest man in America. There are very, very few like him.
If you placed Mika as a hostess in a mountain village brothel in a Central American Banana Repubelick, she would be placed too high.
I checked and you are right. The Teamsters are the only union, but there is the "spillover effect", and CostCo pays higher wages for top qualified employees. The WalMart employees are not as intelligent, resourceful, and all the rest that goes with congenitally less talented. If the CostCo model were implemented, those employees would be out of work and probably have almost no chance of ever gaining employment again, with the flood of immigrants from the shantytowns of Central America.
Back in Obamaville, AKA Marxist/Progressive/Statist Central, they are licking their chops. Not only will SEIU organizing create more union dues (more political donations for the election of Progressive Marxists), but those displaced will be new "clients" of the gummint welfare system and locked in voters dependent as a junkie is to smack.
SEIU operates as a branch of the Obama gummint. Long ago taken over by Communists, this is surrogate for direct government control through a proxy.
The difference between CostCo and WalMart illustrates the difference. CostCo, run by a Progressive Democrat, unionized his company, pays more than WalMart, has a more educated and productive work force, AND HAS LESS WORKERS IN THE STORES. WalMart hires a lot of marginal people, some of whom are barely employable, and of course less productive. So they hire more people to reach the same output of lower numbers, but more well qualified. Those dolts protesting are just being used by the Marxists/Progressives who dominate labor unions today. When the wages increase, they will be displaced by more productive, more versatile and more educated workers. In the 1960s, I worked mostly minimum wage jobs, and largely put my way through college, with some help from my parents. In 1968, I worked in the summer for $1.65 an hour.
Many of these companies supported Democrats and Obama, notably McDonalds with outreach programs and affirmative action deals even beyond what is legally required. Now they are seeing that feeding the alligator does not mean you do not get eaten, but eaten last. This is the first step toward union control of the shareholders corporation, and vicariously by the government, the shadow power.
WalMart already has to budget in a 24 SWAT team on the premises to repel Black banger teenage flash mobs. Doesn't that count? That and a higher rate of theft and inventory loss due to the nature of the clientele.
The best solution to the DC government problem would be to install a group of 5 year olds in power. Of course, nothing would get done, no decisions would be made. That would be an improvement over constant negative outcomes. Or make the DC council swear an oath to make decisions as if they were White, Conservative, and Republican. After all, a zero is better than a negative number.
