I have read so many of the posts here that make me ill that I will leave Townhall and the Republican Party permanently. You may think me naive but this horror touches me in a way that others could not. We dont need to ban guns nor do we need to believe that this maniac was a "gun nut". But, we also do not need weapons and magazines like this. No, guns dont kill people but guns like these make it easier for nuts to kill people. . . even little children. Hate Obama if you must but what evil will proceed from talking about this. No one wants to turn our schools into Bosnian style armed camps. Enough is enough.

Agree with your last 3 words - "Enough is enough" - that is exactly right - enough of this disgusting commie in chief who cares nothing except for one more photo op, one more golden opportunity to destroy another one of our freedoms.

I come here to see an opposite side of the spectrum. And it scares me reading some of these comments. The article is not slanted to either party, but since it has Obama included in it no one can look at the the good intentions of his speech. People call Nazi, i don't even know how that applies, but a few comments up there it is. Good luck in finding a more moderate group to align with. The conservative party has become a party of hate.

You're not a Republican to begin with.

President Obama traveled to Newtown, Connecticut this evening to address the community in the wake of the horrific massacre of 26 children and adults at Sandy Hook Elementary. Business Insider reports:

Obama has taken the stage in Newtown. According to a White House pool report, he carried his speech in a black folder and delivered his remarks without a teleprompter.

“Scripture tells us, do not lose heart, for outwardly we are wasting away, inwardly we are being renewed day by day," he began. "Here in Newtown, I come to offer the love and prayer of a...
