Armed guards are better than no guards, but how about letting teachers and/or administrators be legally and lawfully armed with concealed carry permits and guns? And to those who are afraid that the children will discover the guns in their teachers' desk drawers, the guns don't belong in desks, not in bags, not in lockers, but concealed on one's person. If the unthinkable happens, you won't have time to run to your desk first.

It should be left up to the teachers if they carry. And the firearm belongs on the person, not in a drawer or locked up.

Newtown Board of Education and Parents: Give Us Armed Protection
