And those numbers are exactly the reason Morgan is in the States: it's safer. And WHY is it safer? Because we have the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

Your brilliant logic totally explains why Canada has lower crime rates across the board than the US... obviously they have more guns there!

Stats, please. The story I saw last week explained why Canada is NOT better. Fewer people killed by guns than in the US, just like in Great Britain. However the murder rates were very comparable, when looking at similar population groups. Just more beating deaths and death by strangulation in Canada. So try again "eco."

heh... yeah, all those mass murders by strangulation that Canada has. What a terrifying place it must be to live in. Anyway, you're capable of looking up the stats yourself. Guns are legal in Canada, but more restricted... and gun deaths are less than half of the US. Try comparing your stats to a country with the same culture and economic realities for a change. Or, you know, keep comparing your rates to Honduras if it makes you feel better.

Canada has more guns than the US?I think not.

Canada has that same British culture. they've been conditioned to be peaceful.
Plus,Canada is more homogenous, and much less population density.
There's no straight comparison.

Econo,if you want the life of Britain or Canada,MOVE THERE.
The US was designed from the beginning to be DIFFERENT than Britain.
We intentionally included the Second Amendment to protect the citizens right to be armed.

Canadians don't have freedom of speech, either .

So, it's all about numbers? Is someone preventing you from living in Canada?
econoline Wrote: Jan 09, 2013 6:52 PM
Yawn. Why do I keep forgetting that the US is perfect. How's that "freedom" thing working out for you in the US... Solved all your problems with violence, broken schools and lousy economic troubles?

I can tell you how to get there if you need help getting to Canada - go live there.

Via The Blaze: Ben Swann, a local Fox anchor for WXIX-TV in Cincinnati, offered up a fascinating fact-check of some of the stats that the British CNN host has been using.

“In the UK, there are 2,034 violent crimes per 100,000 people...the U.S. has a violent crime rate of 466 crimes per 100,000 residents."
