Ms. Feinstein, In spite of your high position, you do NOT understand the Constitution; NO BRANCH of the federal government is lawfully and constitutionally empowered to overthrow our collective right to defend ourselves. Our Founding Fathers weren't prophets and didn't foresee our day: they had already experienced it first hand, how a wicked, power-hungry king tried to usurp their rights and those of their fathers, so, in the Constitution, they ensured that We the People would BE empowered to defend ourselves. And you in your Ivory Tower, surrounded by bodyguards, are NOT touching mine because you have ZERO constitutional authority. From my cold, dead hands ... ???O? ???? ... without your bodyguards.

" constitutionally empowered to overthrow our collective right to defend ourselves"

go purchase one of the 900 legal weapons moron. Your right to defend yourself is intact.

Where does it say with what means we are allowed to do so? It simply states arms. The reason for the use of that word was the foresight to understand that weapons are continually improved upon.

Registration is the prelude to confiscation.

Nor our individual right to defend ourselves.

California Senator Dianne Feinstein is expected to introduce new gun control legislation today in an effort to reinstate the "assault" weapons ban of the Clinton era, but Feinstein's legislation goes far beyond simply banning scary look guns. The bill being introduced today covers a wide range of handsguns, rifles, and shotguns. Firearms lawfully purchased and  included in the legislation as "banned" must be registered.

Bans the sale, transfer, importation, or manufacturing of:

120 specifically-named firearms;

-Certain other semiautomatic rifles, handguns, shotguns that can accept a detachable magazine...
