Linda I am all for LEGAL immigration . My grandparents came here from Europe in 1899. They came through Ellis Island, examined by doctors, questioned by authorities on where they would go and who would they be staying with. What kind of a job would they be able to do? People with a limp, pink eye, any minor ailment were returned to their homeland. Anyone who might be a burden or threat to America and Americans were sent back. It was tough to get in. It was done LEGALLY.
