Unions are corrupt. Both private and public. Though public unions are worse. And the union members on display - such as in Wisconsin - are as greedy and grasping as the corporate executives they decry. They are overwhelmingly poor performers. The U.S. auto industry is failing because of outrageous contracts - agreed to by stupid managers who are crashing their companies - lousy designs and lousy workmanship. The public schools are a miserable failure, indoctrinating students into Leftist ideology and failing to teach them math and science. And the pay and benefits given to police and fire fighters are disgusting. Utterly undeserved. Union workers can not be fired because of poor performance, so that's what we get.
The American system of democracy is under threat. It's under threat from an Obama campaign that seeks to polarize Americans along race and class lines. It's under threat from a Democratic Party that seeks to pit those who pay taxes against those who don't.

But most of all, it's under attack from America's public sector unions.
