GOP has done a really lousy job of picking their battles. 98% of us could not care less about firearms. Firearms ain't gonna save this nation, way too late for that. Go back to your mission statement, GOP, fiscal responsibility! "NO NEW PROGRAMS!!" Congress, please don't do us any more favors either, we cannot afford them. The Lady standing in the middle of New York Harbor is NOT cradling a checkbook in her left arm.

Perhaps 98% of urban Repubs don't care about firearms, but the suburban, small town and rural GOP care considerably. We also care about the sanctity of marriage, freedom of speech, freedom to exercise our religion without being sued or harassed, and the authority of parents (not government) over our children.

Christie definitely gets Kudos for financial responsibility, but that is only a slice of conservatism.
