I find it stunning that the groups who are, supposedly or not, the most at risk segments of society who advocate for taking away gun rights: NAACP, NOW, AARP. All of the above mentioned groups want to make their membership more prone to violence.

It's not "prone to violence", it's endangered by violence. I'm 75 and I legally carry a weapon.

Rural and urban America are very different regarding the 'gun control' issue. Hunters are not standing on the corner or driving through neighborhoods indiscriminately shooting. Check the statistics. More young people are being shot in Chicago than in Afghanistan. We need more gun control/enforcement in the urban areas. This is the concern of the NAACP, NOW, AND AARP. Surely someone in our local and federal governments can figure this out. There are many schools in urban areas that have armed guards.

I find it stunning that the trolls dominate the entire website and conservatives have abandoned it to them on New Years Eve.

Conservatives have a life. Liberals are weird. That's why they are liberal.

What is the essence of freedom? Property and a gun.

I never met my grandfather, but that's the lesson I took from his life. He was one generation out of slavery and bought property and guns.

It's so predictable that today's discussion on gun control is similar to the noise we hear from liberals every time there is a mass shooting. What is new this time is that the NRA, under the direction of Wayne LaPierre, David Keene and Asa Hutchinson, has put forth a concrete plan that most American parents should appreciate will keep children safer at school.
