The very minute one gay person can have sexual relations with a member of the same sex and biologically produce a child, then I will recognize that homosexualtiy is normal. Until then, it is just a lifestyle and a chosen one at that.

Your slippery-slope argument doesn't cut it. Homosexual relations do not affect anyone outside of the relationship. Pedophila does. There is NO groundswell movement to legalize sex with children, and you know as well as I do that it will never happen.

What is is it about "informed consent" that you don't understand? Two adult men or two women can give consent, but we have determined that children cannot give legal consent. And I have yet to meet an animal that could say, "My place or yours?"

Don't say that. Someone might make it possible!

"Until then, it is just a lifestyle and a chosen one at that."
It's not "chosen" in the sense that anyone really seeks to be attracted to the wrong sex. It's no more "chosen" than, say, alcoholism. But many have chosen to address their unnatural attraction, and succeeded.

"Homosexuality is an orientation just as heterosexuality is albeit a minor one. It is innate just as being lefthanded is."

Keep on saying it, and maybe it'll magically become true!

Some of us already know where the term "sexual orientation" came from. It doesn't reflect reality. It's a term invented to make homosexuality *sound* innate, because it isn't. (Of course I don't say it's a "choice" either. It's more complex than either side often makes it sound.)

Gay was not taboo 20 years ago. Homosexuality is an orientation just as heterosexuality is albeit a minor one. It is innate just as being lefthanded is. In my father's day in another country those born lefthanded were seen as possessed by the devil. People no longer feel that way. Our thinking evolves. If you want to talk about bestiality go talk to a sheep.

Exactly.

What are our societal taboos right now? I mean, if gay was taboo 20 years ago, but now is 100% acceptable, then what's next? Pedophilia? Bestiality?

It is the individual that has rights based on his humanity. There are no gay rights, women's rights, minority rights... Only individual rights. Life, liberty, property, speech, self defense, privacy... But not acceptance, not priority, not imposition of opinion. and that's what the gay movement wants, to MAKE us accept them, to impose themselves on us, and for us to adopt their opinion as our own.

The president declared it. A pastor prayed it. And woe betide those who differ with this new reality announced at yesterday’s presidential inauguration: Gay is now an official social category as defined and tangible as black or white. Put another way, romantic attraction and sexual desire are now viewed as being as innate and immutable as skin color.

Make no mistake about it. Another significant step was taken yesterday at the inauguration, and what was once associated with the extremist views of radical gay activists is now as American as apple pie. As expressed in the closing prayer of Episcopal...
