Unlike evolution, no one has ever attempted to "prove" the existence of God with such utter fraud as "Piltdown Man"...

"I am beginning to think that Christopher Hitchens was right when he said in a book title that "religion poisons everything." "

Yeah, and prog paradises like the USSR prove you right. Oh, wait, the USSR was run by Godless fools like YOU, David.

"It certainly seems to destroy a person's ability to reason, and his willingness to weigh the facts before insisting that his own opinions are factual."

Pure projection, chump. Your posts show an inability to reason.

And guess what? Piltdown man was exposed as a fraud by other scientists, not religious people. That's how science works: if it doesn't withstand scrutiny in light of the evidence, it gets discarded, unlike religious dogma. The evidence for evolution is so overwhelming that anyone who believes it isn't true is in denial. Even most churches have come to terms with it. Most of the deniers get their "information" from other creationist, not from credible sources, so they aren't even accurately representing or even understanding what it is they disbelieve.

Wasn't it the scientists who proved that Piltdown Man was a fraud?

The existence of God is not provable unless he shows himself. And his "talking" to Pat Robertson and Bennie Hinn does not qualify.
