...And, unfortunately, as noted in the liberal lessons, Statist/Socialist does note denote party affiliation.
Since so many in the media cannot resist turning every tragedy into a political talking point, it was perhaps inevitable that (1) someone would try to link the shooting rampage at the Batman movie in Colorado to the Tea Party, and that (2) some would try to make it a reason to impose more gun control laws.
Too many people in the media cannot seem to tell the difference between reporting the news and creating propaganda.

It is axiomatic in party politics that Statist/Socialist/Progressives infiltrate the party of the redneck, rube obstructionists since corrupting from within is one of the things we do best.
Because much of our policy is based on feel good platitudes it is easy to turn many of the sandbagging simpletons in the opposition party to our favor so as to bind ever more of the peasant masses to the all encompassing State.
We then get the luxury of adulterating the opposition as well as demonizing them concomitantly.
