This would be akin to a case where a bank robber made a major haul of cash, thereby advancing the lifestyle of his children. Just because he is later caught, should the cash be taken away from the chldren and given back to the bank? Of course not! To do so would harm the children, and the bank can certainly afford the loss. Any gain made from an illegal action should not be forfeited if children also benefit from the gain." Liberalism 101 Lesson 3:

...you are struggling under the weight of ever upward spiraling taxes and voice any complaint then you will be accused of not “caring” because, after all:

It’s for the children.

Yeah, it is shocking to me that LD thinks that you wouldn't take the stolen money back regardless of who it went to. Children, charities, whatever, it is not their right to have someone else's money just because some middleman gave it to them.

Now if the bank robber used the money to PAY someone (who didn't know the money was stolen money) then you would have a legitimate conflict of competing values.

Did you see France' socialists' answer to that nation's debt and ec. decline is to raise more taxes but to roll back the last admin.'s austerity of raising retirement from 62 to 60. So, the taxes will have no effect. And France will continue to spiral out of control.

Well, the dry cleaners and maids prob. do not have to pay back money gotten by their payee's illegal moolah, but if you remember, there are entire org.'s "clawing back" cash from the Maddox scandal, the Lehman collapse, and the abused bond and stock holders gutted by the o when he took over GM and Chrysler (many pension funds for teachers and public workers in IL and OH). Children are surely not entitled to inherit money gained by theft or fraud.
President Obama's latest political ploy -- granting new "rights" out of thin air, by Executive Order, to illegal immigrants who claim that they were brought into the country when they were children -- is all too typical of his short-run approach to the country's long-run problems.

Whatever the merits or demerits of the Obama immigration policy, his Executive Order is good only as long as he remains president, which may be only a matter of months after this year's election.

People cannot plan their lives on the basis of laws that can suddenly appear, and then suddenly...
